As your city councilor, Trey will always work hard to ensure Marlborough is in strong financial standing. As a member of the City Council's Finance Committee, Trey personally supported $712,732 worth of adjustments to the Fiscal Year 2025 Budget. These adjustments reflect a fiscally responsible budget that maintains our low residential tax rate while still delivering high quality services to our residents.
On the Finance Committee, Trey has voted to approve MEDC's FY25 Budget to support economic growth, purchase an E-ONE Fire Engine for the Fire Department, and approve funding for the City's Website Upgrade & Redesign Project.
Trey wants to seriously address the housing crisis in Marlborough. From seniors getting priced out to those who grew up here needing to move somewhere more affordable to set down roots, there are residents across the city who need a hand up. That’s why Trey will vote for new developments that increase affordable housing stock–creating meaningful options for those who need them.
Trey believes that by striking a balance between commercial and residential development, we can expand job opportunities, increase our affordable housing stock, and maintain our city’s low residential tax rate.
Trey is committed to protecting Marlborough’s treasured outdoor spaces. Among them are Ward 6’s beloved Fort Meadow Reservoir. Trey grew up making memories at the reservoir and wants future generations to be able to do the same. He will do this by partnering with the Fort Meadow Commission, preserving the lake's natural shoreline by combating excessive weed growth and invasive species, and protecting conservation land from development. Trey voted to approve the Fort Meadow Commission's Fiscal Year 2025 budget to ensure that we have the necessary funds to keep our lake safe and healthy for years to come.
Trey wants to see Marlborough's economy grow, lifting up all residents. That’s why he’ll support downtown revitalization so that our city can attract visitors that will help our small businesses thrive.
Trey believes this starts by putting power back in the hands of our small business owners. They know what works best for downtown Marlborough, and he looks forward to ensuring they have a meaningful voice when discussing revitalization. It is the City Council’s responsibility to make investments in our downtown infrastructure that will allow for small businesses to be the driving force in this revitalization effort.
Ward 6 is home to Marlborough High School (MHS), Assabet Valley Regional Technical High School, Whitcomb Middle School, as well as Jaworek and Goodnow Brothers Elementary Schools. This makes Ward 6 the city's most vital ward in terms of education. As a product of Marlborough public schools himself, Trey is committed to ensuring nothing but the best for our students and teachers. By investing in our students, Trey believes we're investing in the future leaders, business owners, and community servants of our city.
Trey looks forward to partnering with his city council collogues on education issues - particularly, the feasibility study phase of the Massachusetts School Building Authority (MSBA) process for the Raymond C. Richer Elementary School project.
Trey believes in providing the best customer service possible for Marlborough’s taxpayers. That’s why he will work hard to support teachers, first responders, and our dedicated Public Works department. Since you fund city government, Trey wants to make sure it works for you in return.
All of Trey's personal contact information is published on this website and at www.marlborough-ma.gov - he looks forward to hearing from folks like you!
