Happy Holidays and new year!
Trey is running to stand up to the big, out-of-state developers who have their sights set on Marlborough. He will say no to projects that damage the city’s environment, its small business economy, or its charm. Instead, he will prioritize sustainable development that revitalizes unused or abandoned buildings while providing benefits to all Ward 6 Neighbors.
Trey wants to seriously address the housing crisis in Marlborough. From seniors getting priced out to those who grew up here needing to move somewhere more affordable to set down roots, there are residents across the city who need a hand up. That’s why Trey will vote for new developments that increase affordable housing stock–creating meaningful options for those who need them. Marlborough is also dangerously close to dropping below the state-mandated threshold for affordable housing stock–a threshold that would no longer allow us to enforce our zoning codes. By increasing the number of units, we can prevent developers from over-running our city.
Trey is committed to protecting Marlborough’s treasured outdoor spaces. Among them are Ward 6’s beloved Fort Meadow Reservoir. Trey grew up making memories at the reservoir and wants future generations to be able to do the same. He will do this by partnering with the Fort Meadow Commission, preserving the lake's natural shoreline by combating excessive weed growth and invasive species, and protecting conservation land from development.
Trey wants to see Marlborough's economy grow, lifting up all residents. That’s why he’ll support downtown revitalization so that our city can attract visitors that will help our small businesses thrive.
Trey believes in providing the best customer service possible for Marlborough’s taxpayers. That’s why he will work hard to support teachers, first responders, and our dedicated Public Works department. Since you fund city government, Trey wants to make sure it works for you in return.
Ward 6 is home to Marlborough High School (MHS), Assabet Valley Regional Technical High School, Whitcomb Middle School, as well as Jaworek and Goodnow Brothers Elementary Schools. This makes it the city's most vital ward in terms of education. As a product of Marlborough public schools himself, Trey is committed to ensuring nothing but the best for our students and teachers. By investing in our students, Trey believes we're investing in the future leaders, business owners, and community servants of our community.
We did it! On November 7, 2023, Trey was elected with over 67% of the vote!
